2026 WA Allegro Chess Championship

The 2026 WA Allegro Championship was held at Leeming Primary School on Sunday 22nd February. We were pleased to welcome a big field of 46 players, making this one of the most successful WA Allegro Championships in recent years.

Congratulations to all of the prize winners. The prize allocation was not straightforward, and took us some time to work out, due to some very large scoregroups at the top with multiple players in each group being eligible for different category prizes. David Barry's prize allocation app helped us verify that our calculations given below were correct.

Thanks to Dennis for working with me as an arbiter, Tim for transporting the equipment, Ian for bringing board numbers at short notice, Hui for the excellent photos, and the many players who helped set up at the beginning and pack away at the end.
