2012 Junior Chess Grand Prix
The Chess Association of WA is pleased to announce that the highly successful Junior Grand Prix will be held again in 2012.
Some points to note:
1) The WA Junior will not be a part of the 2012 Junior Grand Prix
2) The entry fee is being increased to $25 per tournament, mainly because of the extra costs incurred by presenting equivalent trophies to tied players, which increased greatly in 2011.
3) You may still choose to purchase a Season Pass, for the new cost of $180, to cover the whole year – PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS SEASON PASS DOES NOT INCLUDE ENTRY TO THE WA JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS, NOR TO ANY NOVICE TOURNAMENTS.
4) The GP points earned in each tournament remain the same as recent years.
5) Each player must play in at least two tournaments to be eligible for overall Grand Prix prizes.
